Amazon.com Product Description Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels absorb spills quickly and work hard, even when wet. These thick and thirsty towels are also lint-free, making them a perfect choice for cleaning windows and other reflective surfaces. And they are made from 100% recycled paper, with a minimum of 80% post-consumer materials, making them the right choice for the environment. Made from 100% Recycled Chlorine-Free Paper By choosing Seventh Generation Recycled Paper Towels, you'll be making an important environmental difference immediately. These paper towels are not whitened with chlorine and are made from 100% recycled paper (80% post-consumer, 20% pre-consumer). Hypo-allergenic, unbleached, strong and absorbent, these towels will help you keep your home and the environment clean. Post-consumer paper is paper that has been recycled at home or at the office. Buying post-consumer paper helps finish the job you started--of saving the earth's natural resources, including trees, water, and energy. And using products made from post-consumer recycled materials helps reduce the need for virgin wood pulp, which means more trees are left standing. Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide--a greenhouse gas that's the primary contributor to global warming. In fact, a single tree, over its lifetime, absorbs about one tone of CO2. To put it another way, a ton of recycled paper saves seventeen trees. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 120 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with 100% recycled ones, we could save: 1 million trees, 2.6 million cubic feet of landfill space (equal to over 3,800 full garbage trucks), 367 million gallons of water (a year's supply for 2,800 families of four), and avoid 38,000 tons of pollution. And because these towels have been whitened with an environmentally safe process and have not been treated with chlorine, you can safely compost them in your garden when you're done using them. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, phosphate-free, and biodegradable ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.

High quality, eco-friendly paper towels August 3, 2008 Seventh Generation makes one of the best quality Eco-friendly paper products available. Of all the brands on the shelves of my "health food stores", Seventh Generation is a reliable pick. One of, if not the best. These paper towels are no exception.
Great idea in a not so great form. July 30, 2008 I really like 'green' products and use quite a few of them. And though I know I am saving trees, among other things, I can't help but wonder if I *really am* saving much of anything when I have to use 3 or 4 sheets of a product that I other wise would have to use one sheet of. It *still* takes energy to produce these paper towels and if I am having to use 3 times more of it over another product, then I have problems believing it is really accomplishing much as using more means more waste as well (not good for our earth either), not to mention the irritation factor.
I reach for these in a *quick need* situation and especially if my hands are already wet, I end up with only a piece of towel in my hand, where as if I use the 'regular' towels if I pull off a sheet, I get a sheet. This paper towel is not strong, or very absorbent. I would be more than happy to pay a little more if I felt I were actually helping the environment, but I just feel with using 3 times as much of a product to accomplish what one of something should accomplish is just not saving anything for anyone. I really *want* to be happy with these, but just not happening.
So thought I have to give it 5 stars for the green effort, I feel I have to give it 2 stars for *actual usability* of this product. The only thing these paper towels really has going for it is that it *is* a green product.
WAY over-priced here July 27, 2008 Excellent TP, but Amazon is off their rocker at this price. My wife just got back from Central Market where she bought 12 rolls for 8 USD. You do the math. I'm surprised at these prices. If they were more reasonable, this would be 5 stars without question.
Pleased Overall July 13, 2008 I have been pleased with the product and have set it up on the subscribe program. The paper towels are thin and not soft but they are recycled so that is what you will get.
Surprisingly Good June 17, 2008 Seventh Generation Paper Towels / B000C7SSSC
I love these paper towels. They are a little rougher than the commercial towels, but I actually feel that they pick up messes better because they are rougher. I like the fact that they are recycled, and I haven't had any trouble tearing them off at the perforations. I also haven't needed to use more of the natural paper towels to clean up messes. Really, the change over to these towels has been very painless, as I don't notice much of a difference, but these are recycled, so that makes me happy.
