ecoperson November 29, 2008 PattyB (Houlton Maine) Good product. Not as heavy as your non eco products, but if your using for regular everyday trash they are fine. I have used with heavy items and as long as there was no sharp items, they worked fine. Give them a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised. And, you will be helping the environment.
Works Fine November 17, 2008 R. Dubrow (Philadelphia) As others have stated, I wouldnt try to overstuff these bags, but then again, I would never overstuff any trash bag not specifically made for heavy duty loads. I have used these bags now for four weeks, each full of a weeks worth of trash, and have had no breakage or tearing problems, nor have any torn when the trash men come to pick it up and throw it in the truck. Recommend.
always tearing September 30, 2008 C. Huang (Los Angeles, CA) I can never use the yellow ties because they break even before you tie the bag close. Also, if you place anything that protrudes in the bag, it tends to rip through prettily easily. Also, the side seams tend to split too. I like the idea of being green but the products need to work too!
Recycled Goodness September 23, 2008 Ana Mardoll 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Seventh Generation Trash Bags, 13 Gallon / B000C7UXL2 I love these bags. They aren't as strong as the Hefty bags I switched from, but I don't feel as guilty on trash day - I'd rather use recycled plastic bags than regular ones. And, really, they aren't THAT flimsy - I don't want to make them sound like anything more than a tissue will tear it. Regular kitchen and bathroom loads of tear-away labels, food wrappers, and other scraps will be handled easily with these bags. I just wouldn't load them down with my cat litter - for that, I pull out the big garage trash can.
Not bad! June 24, 2008 Graeme M. Thompson (San Francisco, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As other reviewers have mentioned, these aren't the strongest bags you've ever used. But, if you're buying these in bulk because you like the idea of creating a market for recycled plastics, you probably won't mind doubling up for bigger jobs. I don't. My assumption, which could well be incorrect, is that creating demand for these will lead to improvements that will yield a stronger bag. Until then, I'll double up when I have to. Not that buying these makes that big a dent in the landfills or anything much...
