Product Description Forget about standing in line at the grocery store for a rotisserie chicken! Enjoy rotisserie cooking on your Weber kettle grill with a heavy-duty electric motor for smooth turning. Works great with turkey, ribs & roasts too! Convert Any 22-1/2-In. Weber Kettle Into A Rotisserie Cooker Includes A Heavy Duty Electric Motor Wooden Rod Handle For Safe Handling Counterbalance For Smooth Turning & Less Motor Wear
Amazon.com Review When you need to grill a feast to feed a small army or a heavy turkey for a festive celebration, you need a reliable and durable rotisserie. Besides providing even cooking on all parts of your delicacy, a rotisserie is a pure pleasure to watch. Weber's kettle barbecue rotisserie includes a heavy-duty electric motor, a wooden rod handle, and (more importantly) a counterbalance for smooth turning and less motor wear. When your turkey is too heavy for the rotisserie, the rotisserie turns until the heaviest part of the bird gets to the top of the rotisserie. To prevent this problem, just slide the counterbalance up and down on its handle until your turkey turns smoothly and gently, grilling to a delicious golden brown. This rotisserie fits all 22-1/2-inch kettles. --Rhonda Langdon

Weber 2290 Rotisserie Review August 4, 2008 Get one of these if you like GREAT effortless cooking. This rotisserie unit could make your other grills or methods obsolete. No kidding I have never cooked 2 chickens at once or had grilled chicken turn out so perfect. Cook time about 2 hours. I cooked a 10 pound Turkey, it turned out fabulous. Perfect for Pork roast and Game Hens also. My rotisserie repertoire keeps growing. I also purchased the Weber 9600 Char-Basket Charcoal Fuel Holders for use with the 2290 rotisserie, a very good combination. The charcoal burns evenly, predictably, very clean and might even reduce your cooking time. In addition you should get a chimney type charcoal starter. They are worth it if for one reason you need any stinky starting fluids. Don't hesitate any longer get one of these Weber 2290 rotisseries while you can and get cooking!
what fun! August 1, 2008 I was a bit daunted when I opened the package and found the great iron sleeve that fits over the grill, even though it WAS in the picture. But the sleeve popped right onto the grill. Putting the rest of it together took about 2 minutes. I DO have 2 screws left over and no idea what to do with them; however, it seems to be working fine without them so far.
The directions are minimal; mainly pictures.
well worth the investment--makes grilling even more fun!
A superb addition to a great grill. July 10, 2008 This Weber rotisserie is simple to use and it produces the most succulent chickens, legs of lamb, buffalo sirloin roasts and pork roasts imaginable. The spit is long enough and the kettle broad enough to cook two good sized chickens at one time and these beat anything available precooked from the local market. My only complaint is that the electrical cord is a bit short.
Weber Rotiserrie review -GREAT July 10, 2008 This product was shipped to me quickly and I have enjoyed it several times. Was concerned about some of the reviews, and wondered why Weber quit making it, but after using it, I love it. Have done a pork butt and a chicken on it and they came out delicious.
Typical Weber Quality July 4, 2008 It took me quite awhile to get over the price of this accesory. (It costs more than the grill for which it was designed) I was not surprised but happy with it's quality and usability. The cylindrical piece that fits on the top of the bottom half of the kettle is a perfect match with the lid fitting as well. The motor is strong and seemingly well built. The rotisserie rod is heavy duty as well as the keeper forks. I believe that I will be enjoying this accesory for years to come.
