This picnic basket is of great quality. It is pretty hefty when it has all its plates and glasses loaded up, but without them it is very light. The leather straps are sturdy and I was pleased to find that they are adjustable enough that, even if you only put in 2 plates, there is no rattling because they are held in there firmly. I would definitely recommend this basket to a friend, and definitely consider it nice enough to give as a gift.
