This is a very useful collapsible basket. A little bigger than I thought it would be, but that has turned out to be a plus. I keep it in my car mostly for carrying groceries into the house. It will hold (barely) 4 gallons of milk which saves some trips back out to the car. The hinges for the handles do intrude on the usable space inside the basket (maybe 3/8 of an inch), so you have to be careful when loading some things or they might get hung up on the plastic pivot hinges. There are two metal braces that fold down into the basket to help hold it open. It looks to fold down to about 1 " high when stored. I've had it for a few months now and so far I like it.

I purchased this basket to use at the Farmer's market and I find that I use it nearly every day. I take it into the store with me when I am only going to get a few things...and it saves me from using those awful plastic bags. It's so convenient and easy to assemble and it's even easier to flatten when not in use. Although to be honest, I rarely flatten it out since I use it so much. I've gotten many great comments on this basket and am eager to tell everyone where I bought it and how inexpensive it was. Mine hasn't gotten very dirty yet, but it's easy to wipe out and the material is very sturdy. The padded handle is very comfortable. What you don't see in the picture is that the basket has feet on the bottom so that it doesn't sit directly on the floor or ground, which is another plus. I will probably purchase several for gifts this Christmas. I think everyone should have one.

this is great for carrying items from the camper to the camp table, or using as a picnic basket. Then, since it collapes, it doesn't take up much space in the camper.

Many picnic baskets look beautiful but are inconvenient to use. This collapsible orange basket is simple and easy. There's no lid, so you don't have to worry about items being pushed down to allow the lid to close. It collapses for easy storage. It's soft-sided, so your items can be awkwardly shaped. Our family has a cooler for picnics, but we had tried various other things to carry regular food in -- from cardboard boxes, to paper bags that tear or blow away, to plastic bags -- this simple picnic basket works the best of anything we've tried. It has made it so easy to head out for picnics on day outings. I bought one of these baskets for myself first, and after finding out how well it worked, I bought another for my parents who absolutely love it. I wish it came in other colors than orange, though, maybe a blue or green would have been nicer, but the wonderful convenient design more than compensates for the color. And the orange kind of grows on us, great for finding your food on those night picnics, as we joke. It is a great picnic basket.
