OMG !!! November 23, 2008 M. D. Morehouse (Kansas City, MO) This thing catches THOUSANDS of flies in just a few days....and i live in a suburban neighborhood...where do they all come from???...all i can say is...it works...like others have said...i wouldn't put it too close to the house as it fills up fast and starts to smell...but it truly does catch any and all flies in the area !!
Worked beyond all expectations! October 23, 2008 S. Rosenberg (Conn.) This fly trap worked really really well. After a few weeks there wasn't any more room for flies but it seemed to take care of the problem because I didn't feel the need to put up another trap. The smell is bad but only if you are close to it, so certainly only for outdoors. I highly recommend this product if you have any issues with flies.
It stinks October 3, 2008 Lingyan Wang This product literally stinks. I was almost killed by the smell before the flies, so I have to throw it away. The shipping and the service are good, otherwise.
Be careful if you have pets! October 2, 2008 S. McMahon (La Palma, CA) I bought one of these and hung it on a poll w/a hook about 4 feet up in the air. It does kill flys but... My cats spotted the flys inside the bag and jumped up and bit (they are clawless in front)the bag trying to get to the flys. They eventually bit through the bag while we were out. Luckily I saw the bag was leaking shortly after this happened and the cats were O.K. but this could be a concern. Hang 'em high!

I have a vegetable garden and a flock of chickens. I get a lot of flies. This is a very effective way of cutting down the fly population. It's easy to set up. Just fill to the line with water. A bag filled with some sort of organism, disolves and mixes with the water. In about 3 to 4 days it ferments adequately and the flies start coming. If you are downwind of this product, it is quite putrid smelling. In my yard, it takes about a month to fill with flies. I just put a grocery bag around the fly bag and tie it up. Very easy to dispose of. If you've got outside animals/pets, you need this product.
