Works as advertised October 26, 2008 R. Toro (Chicago, IL) SanDisk SDDR-64-768 Compact Flash to PC Card Adapter works as advertised. I use it specifically in my 08 Honda Civic which plays MP3 and WMA files off of memory cards, the catch is the the interface for the memory cards is PC Card. This adapter allows me to use a SanDisk 8GB Ultra-III Compact Flash card with my factory radio. Also, since this is a card-bus adapter the transfer speeds are great and don't place a significant load on the host device (radio, or PC in my case). Overall, while this adapter may be pricier than others it does offer fast transfers and industry standard support so you can almost be guaranteed that it will work in whatever device you use it in/with.
Great Product! August 30, 2008 rbiceman5 (San Diego, CA) I needed this to play mp3s in my car stereo using the PC Card slot. I put songs on my compact flash card and connect it to this adapter to play them in my car. Works perfect! Great product!
My mini disc changer August 9, 2008 Sarah Guinn (Wichita, Kansas) I have a Honda that supports a flash card in the stereo. I just needed an adapter, couldn't find one in town at all. I came across the site when googled the memory card, received it quickly & safe. My laptop does not support a flashcard so I did have to buy a reader/writer. I downloaded all my CD's now I can enjoy all my music. Nice for LONG DRIVES!

Ultra Slow Compact Flash PCMCIA adapter July 14, 2008 Edwin Elliott (Livonia, MI United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Transfer rates were around 1Mb per second - too slow for good video playback. I don't understand why SanDisk would offer a slow 16 bit PCMCIA (Type I) card that you could never take advantage of Ultra or Extreme compact flash memory? If you want to transfer large files to or from compact flash memory, purchase the 32 bit PCMCIA (Type II) adapter made by Viking InterWorks. With the Viking adapter, a 6 GB of iTunes folder was moved in about 5 minutes (~20Mb/sec)) to a 16Gb Extreme III compact flash card.
