Lose the cord. Get the card. December 12, 2008 A. Scott (Baltimore, MD) I love this product. The idea behind it is what initially sold me when I saw it reviewed on a photography website. I have a Nikon DSLR camera and thought that I'd give the 1GB a shot before I went all out on a bigger one (so I now own a 1GB and a 4GB card like this). This makes it possible to quickly, upload and share photos. There is no need to worry about having the USB transfer cord with you or even the camera. And if your camera battery is dead and you can't upload the pics, this card skips that step altogether. It can be used just like any USB jump drive. Also, what's not mentioned and what I thought was quite unique and convenient was the hard case that came with it. I find it similar to the locket that was given to the girl in the movie The Illusionist. It is two pieces that slide apart on a pivot point and the card fits nicely in the center. Very sleek and appealing. Kudos to SanDisk for this item. I hope they keep making them in larger memory sizes.
GMan November 3, 2008 GY (Honolulu, HI USA) The SD card works great but you need to be careful not to break it. The USB feature comes in very handy if your computer doesn't have an SD card reader.
Something all memory cards should do September 7, 2008 Michael J. Euzent (Sunnyvale, CA) This is really pretty simple (the way things should be). A memory card that you can plug into your camera, cell phone, mp3 player or whatever, and then flip down the side and plug it directly into your computer's USB port (something every modern computer has). Allows you to get pictures off your camera without bringing the cable with you. Also saves camera battery life and lets you share pictures wherever you are.
Overall good product. August 8, 2008 Matt Albrecht (Golden, CO USA) All in all, this is a very nice card. Got it for $10 + free shipping, so no complaints there. Having the USB on there is a very nice feature, with one exception, however. Apparently it is a high power USB device, meaning that I cannot plug it into my Apple keyboard's USB hub. This means for you, the reader, that you will either need to plug it straight into your computer or into a powered or decent quality USB hub. Minor gripe, but worth noting.
Nice to have but slow August 5, 2008 N. Huang This is the old version. Speed is about 10mb, newer high capacity(2gb, etc) version works at 15mb. Even the Ducati version is slow at 20mb...
