The Griffin GarageBand Guitar Cable makes using a guitar with GarageBand a snap. The problem is that electric guitars use 1/4" size instrument cables, and the Mac input is 1/8" mini-jack headphone. I'm surprised I've been unable to find a similar cord elsewhere. The signal through the cable/preamp/mic is very clean. Good product, feels durable like it will last for many recordings unlike other cheap mic plug adapters.

This product does exactly what it's supposed to: connect an XLR microphone to your computer's 1/8 jack (sound card) or any other connector that requires an 1/8 input (for example, the iMic, which is also awesome). I've had no problems with it.

This is a very high end cable. Very nice material and superior connectors. Could get by with a cheaper cable, but this is the best of the best.
