| Customer Reviews: It's not as bad as you would think August 30, 2010 conroyholds 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Was looking for something cheap and handy to use for my etextbooks this year in college. I decided to get this, mostly because of the price.
Honestly, its actually a pretty good device. The touchscreen wasnt very responsive until I peeled the protective plastic film off. The android marketplace is a mess and finding the apps I needed was a bit tedious. If you want to get apps for this thing you're better off downloading them from a different computer and putting them on an SD card.
A visit to [...] is VERY helpful when owning one of these.
The device is not very user friendly, and requires some tweaking. However, given the price and proper knowledge, I think that this device is decent.
I gave it a 3/5 because it takes awhile to get everything you want installed onto it and the marketplace sucks. However, if you're looking for something very easy to use then just save up and get an iPad or just a regular laptop.
Also the box it came in does say "iRobot" and from what i've seen on youtube, websearch, etc. it does resemble an iRobot, so its not bad if you're tech savvy.
WOW! REALLLY GOOD! August 29, 2010 Djbenz 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well first of all i expected the irobot apad but instead i got this thing. i had no idea what this was because i was expecting an irobot. i wanted to put a custom firmware on it. And after i looked at it i turned it on. It seemed pretty nice until i tried unlocking it. it just froze. Finally after a few attempts it unlocked and then i tried to connect to my wifi network. WELL IT FROZE AGAIN! and after that i contacted the seller. The seller was nice enough to help me. But then i sent my unit in for replacement and after about 15 days i had no contact from them. Well i filed claim NOW seeking my refund and after that they contacted me and told me they will refund me my money. Worst experience ever! I am hoping to buy an actual branded nokia tablet after i get my money back
UGHHHHHHH! August 27, 2010 REAL 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
First lets start with the HORRIBLE customer service! i paid for EXPEDITED shipping and we got the regular 3-5 days!! That would have been okay if the product description/picture was the same as the product they sent me!! THIS IS NOT THE PRODUCT IN THE PICTURE!!! IT IS A "VARIATION" OF THE iROBOT BUT IT IS NOT THE REAL THING!! The "2" USB ports, and the "Ethernet" plug is EXTERNAL! and its not mini USB it REGULAR sized USB! IT COMES WITH NO CORDS! the only cord it came with was the charger. If you YouTube the REAL aPad you see that this picture looks like the real thing but it is NO WHERE NEAR THE REAL THING!! Please don't give these people your hard earned money cause you upset with this cheap "apad"! It also came with scratches on the screen!!!! the screen feels cheap and it moves! its just HORRIBLE! I am going to return this for the REAL iRobot!
