Almost great March 6, 2010 Michael T. Pierce (Kinnelon, NJ United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
There is no bigger Manilow fan than I. I thought his tribute to the songs of the 50's was terrific. The albums since then have become increasingly less interesting, until this one came along. I love the arrangements on this album, right from the beginning: "The radio and the telephone..." Classic. I just wish he'd stayed with pre-rock-n-roll-era stuff. I could have totally done without "Love Story." I heard it on The Tonight Show and thought it was horrible. And he wasn't in very good voice that night. I was delighted to hear the rest of the album was wonderful. So, here's to an "almost" great album!

This CD is one of Barry Manilow's best so far. He picked all the right songs for this one. I can't stop playing it!

I have a fan for years. I could not pass this one up. He has never made a bad collection. I am so glad to be living in an era where Barry Manilow exits. You keep going Barry.
