| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description 2008 release. There is a tradition in classic Black music that goes back to the smooth crooning of Sam Cooke, the earthy gritty sound of Otis Redding, the lyrical beauty of Curtis Mayfield and the unfiltered intensity of Donny Hathaway. It's a combination of church-rooted hallelujah praisin' and tell-it-like-it-is storytellin'. Few contemporary artists are equipped to carry the torch with any sense of authenticity. Anthony Hamilton may be the sole-indeed, soulful-exception. Simply put, Anthony has proved to be the real deal, as audiences discovered during his countless road treks performing night-after-night before packed crowds of -as he puts it-'young thugs, white and black, mothers with babies on their knees, old school G's and kids looking for something they could feel and relate to.'

like sweet, soft butta..... February 23, 2010 lc (tx) deliciously soaking in to your warmed up, ready to receive, mind and heart. don't know how to explain it, but his voice and music just sounds and feels ssoo good. i really don't want to and cant try to be doing anything but listening when i put this/his cds on. alot of times the well hyped, noisy advertised, slicked produced cds jump into the center/starlight just because,....
but its this quiet, soulfully saturated in content --made of the real thing that brings it w/o anything artificial and it only makes sense to me that something this good NEEDS to be shared to all. so heres the heads up--to open up and just get it...
The Best R&B album of the decade!!!! February 10, 2010 Ronald E. Spencer (Atlanta, GA) Anthony hits it out the park with this 2008-09 release. No other artist came close to this level of pure R&B-Soul lyrics. If you haven't already, forget Neo-Soul and return to pure soul baby!
In love with the melody January 23, 2010 L. Lewis (New York) I can't even begin to write the words of how Anthony Hamilton has done it again. Please run and buy this CD, you will be happy! More than happy, in love with the melodies.
Love the CD January 21, 2010 Angelina Lovie (Virginia) There were only about 1-2 songs I did not care for on this CD. That says a lot when it is usually about 1-2 songs I like on other artist CD. Great Job Anthony!!!!
Very good! January 20, 2010 Anita Ann Spigner (Monterey, CA, US) All the songs are easy, relaxing and almost spiritual. Calming is maybe a better thought. Worth the $$$. Yes get this CD.
