Great Diapers August 30, 2010 J. Jones (Nashville, TN) Since the beginning we have used a combination of 7th generation dipes (for out and about) and cloth (for home). I am very happy to have a more chemical free option. They also have good customer service.
temporary satisfaction August 27, 2010 Jessica Parks Seventh Generation diapers were our diaper of choice for our daughter for many months. I was shocked, however, at how soon she shifted into size 3 -- and then grew out of size 3! -- much sooner than the weight indicated. I am sad to say that I have two unused packages of the them that she is just too big to use. I attempted to use huggies a few times instead and though I am unhappy with huggies as a diaper (leaves marks on her skin around the edges), I can hardly believe how much bigger they are! I finally thought I would give Earth's Best diapers a try and I am totally bummed that we never used these to begin with. The size 3 is still a great fit for my little chunkster! So far I am a convert to Earth's Best as our fav. They are snug and slim and so much easier to put on too.
The best diapers ever! August 26, 2010 SharonDenisse I am very careful with the products I purchase, as I do not want to harm by family with toxic chemicals nor I want to damage the environment. But "green" products sometimes lack the quality and durability of regular items, and often I have found myself in the position where I have to decide between the risk of cancer in 10 years or living without the product.
With Seventh Generation I do not have to endure this dilemma. And these diapers are great! They do not leak; they do not create dioxins, as are not bleached; they do not irritate my daughter's skin; and they are not expensive. (They run small, though...)
If, like me, you need empirical data and documentation, I encourage you to contact the company directly and ask for a sample. They are generous and have excellent customer service.
Great buy! August 25, 2010 Pam We typically use cloth diapers, but my daughter's daycare is having some issues with them. So, if I had to buy disposable diapers, I wanted something earth friendly. Keira has had no reactions and I love the unique feel of them.
Doesn't contain bowel movements AT ALL!!! August 24, 2010 Ainsley's Mommy (Ohio) I just tried Seventh Gen. diapers for the first time after using Pampers and Luvs for 4 years and I am shocked at how poorly these diapers performed!
First, the fit is not consistent with what the package states. My son falls in the middle of the weight range for the size 3 diapers, and he is quite thin, and yet these diapers barely fit him. I mean, they did fit him, but only just, so there is no way they would fit a child at the upper end of the stated weight range.
Second, soon after wearing his first 7th gen diaper he had a bowel movement and rather than containing it this diaper honestly seemed to repel the mess out over the edge of the diaper! It ended up on not only his pants, but up the front of his shirt, I mean actually all over the front of his shirt as well as the back, just everywhere! That has never, ever happened to me with the Pampers or the Luvs, not even when my children had explosive diarrhea. When I went to clean up my son I saw that while there was poop everywhere on him and his clothes, there was very little in the actual diaper. It just didn't contain it at all! Sadly this happened to me a second time (as I had no other diapers in the house) and my husband experienced a urine leak, after which he exclaimed "Get rid of those awful diapers and promise me you will never ever buy them again!" Which I won't!
What a disappointment! Especially when you consider the high cost of these diapers. Save yourself the money and the headache and just try other diapers on the market first. These really aren't that much better for baby or the earth anyway and the energy wasted washing loads and loads of laundry due to messy leaks certainly outweighs any 'green' benefit these claim to harbor.
